Batia Wang, born in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, graduated with a Master Degree from Vienna Art Academy, specialized in metal sculpture. Her designs in 18K and 22K gold echo past and ancient Middle East. Soft shapes, rough textures, dim and shinny, inspired by nature and the desert landscape, are strongly represented in her designs. Each piece is designed and made by the artist personally in her own technique of hand-hammering on wood block.
